Ras Mohammed Day Trip

Egypt's most famous marine national park. A full day of diving at two of the Red Sea's best sites.

A full day at Ras Mohammed

Ras Mohammed is Egypt's most famous marine national park — and for good reason. It sits at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, about 100 kilometres from Dahab. We leave early in the morning by minivan and arrive in time for a full day of diving.

The marine life here is dense in a way that is hard to describe until you are in the water: large schools of barracuda, trevally and snapper, turtles, rays, napoleon wrasse. The visibility is consistently exceptional.

We dive two sites across the day — the shallow entry caves near Shark Observatory in the morning and Yolanda Reef in the afternoon, where the fish life tends to be at its most concentrated. Lunch is on the beach under a tent between sessions.
